What is HHC-O Acetate?

What is HHC-O Acetate - GLAKRatom

The new beneficial cannabinoids keep on coming, and the newest to catch our eyes is HHC-O Acetate; but with so many products and substances to choose from, which is the best HHC-O Acetate?

Never heard of HHC-O? While many of us are familiar with psychoactive cannabinoids like Delta-8 THC productsDelta 10-THC products, THCV products and even THC-O-Acetate products (THC-O), we can add another to our list of cannabinoids to enjoy with HHC-O-acetate (also known as the shorthand HHC-O).

What is HHC-O?

HHC-O-acetate is a fairly new cannabinoid to hit the hemp scene, and because of this, it’s very possible that you’ve never even heard of it before.  HHC-O is the acetate version of HHC, a naturally occurring cannabinoid that acts as the hydrogenated form of THC, being chemically stable thanks to its hydrogen enhancement, well-known for its similarities to delta-9 THC.

HHC-O takes naturally occurring HHC and applies acetic anhydride to the compound in the same way that we create THC-O. What this does is boost the cannabinoid’s potency by about 1.5x.

The reason for this enhanced potency is simple. It makes the cannabinoid even more similar to delta-9 THC, since hexahydrocannabinol is somewhat milder. This essentially enhances the high to really give users what it is that they’re looking for.

What are the Psychoactive Effects of HHC-O?

The reason why delta-9 THC and HHC/HHC-O products produce such similar effects is because it appears that they are processed by the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) in an identical manner. What this means is that the cannabinoids work with the same cannabinoid receptors in the nervous system that trigger intoxication and also absorb at a very similar rate.

Boosting the potency of HHC by making HHC-O increases that absorption rate further so that the high is more on par with the high-THC strains that dominate the market.

So, what is the high like, then?

Well, of course, anyone experienced with THC compounds knows that ultimately, the effects can be subtly different for everyone. But overall, the ‘high’ is stronger than delta-8 THC and can be both uplifting and mellowing to the mind and body with a somewhat unfocused, hazy sensation that can be deeply satisfying when you are looking for a way to unwind. It’s important to point out that a lot of the more specific effects that you feel will depend on the strain that you’ve purchased.

Legality and Drug Testing When Pertaining To HHC-O

HHC-O-acetate is a federally legal cannabinoid because federal law has made it clear that all hemp derivatives containing a maximum of 0.3% delta-9 THC are legal. Some states have banned certain psychoactive cannabinoids, or are in the process of doing so, so it’s always wise to check to see what your state’s legislation has to say about what’s legal and what’s not as far as hemp is concerned.

Another thing to keep in mind is that HHC-O may affect a drug test result. THC compounds like delta-9, delta-8 and THC-P are all metabolized by an enzyme known as THC-COOH. This enzyme is what urine tests are looking for. We don’t know yet whether or not HHC-O is processed by THC-COOH. But, many will agree that it’s better to be safe than sorry.

What Else Can HHC-O Do?

Glad you asked. HHC-O-acetate, as well as hexahydrocannabinol, are extremely new to the market. What this means is that there hasn’t been enough time for researchers to analyze these cannabinoids and discover their more clinical applications, which has been done with CBD, delta-9 THC and even delta-8 THC. Basically, we can’t reference any studies that go into the non-psychoactive effects of HHC-O.

However, people who have actually tried the cannabinoid have given us some insight. It’s not surprising that HHC-O, and HHC for that matter, seem to offer similar effects to delta-9 beyond their highs. A lot of people talk about the way in which HHC-O products help them with physical discomfort, appetite issues, nausea, mood imbalances, sleep and more.

Again, everyone is different, and may experience the cannabinoid differently. But, the bottom line is that if you love what delta-9 THC has to offer, HHC-O is a great substitute.

What Is THCV?

What is THCV - GLAKratom

While THC is an agonist of the CB1 receptor, THCV acts as an in inverse agonist, meaning it binds to the same receptor but produces an opposite pharmacological effect. Unlike THC, therefore, it is non-psychoactive and suppresses the munchies, with some research suggesting that it can even cancel out the effects of THC.

In one study, cannabis users were given an oral dose of THCV shortly before being injected with THC, with the result being that none of them got particularly high. However, because THCV occurs in such low concentrations in most cultivars, it’s pretty hard to ingest enough of it to counteract the effects of THC in the real world.

Interestingly, THCV also binds to CB2 receptors, leading to suggestions that it could help reduce inflammation, treat pain and possibly even protect against dementia.

Although THCV looks molecularly identical to THC, it acts completely differently in the body and is not a scheduled controlled substance in the United States. THCV is federally legal as long as it’s extracted from hemp plants that contain less than 0.3% THC. At a state level, THCV is also permitted in all cannabis strains where medical and/or adult use is legal.

The Benefits Of THCV

Because it suppresses the appetite, THCV is currently being studied as a possible treatment for obesity. Research has shown that it helps to decrease food intake and trigger weight loss, while human trials have indicated that the cannabinoid alters the brain’s response to food.

One study on humans with type 2 diabetes showed that THCV helps to control blood glucose levels, in part by interacting with a hormone called adiponectin, which regulates plasma glucose and fatty acid breakdown. This capacity to modulate key metabolic processes has been demonstrated in a number of animal studies, indicating that THCV may well prove an effective treatment for a range of disorders, including diabetes.

A separate study indicated that the cannabinoid may also be useful in the treatment of epilepsy, after it was shown to reduce the amplitude and frequency of seizure-like activity in neurons in a petri dish. Further analysis revealed that the cannabinoid produces this effect by acting upon the CB1 receptor.

That it also interacts with the CB2 receptor has added to the intrigue surrounding THCV. Studies have shown that this decreases inflammation, which translated to a reduced pain response in mice. Meanwhile, separate research has indicated that THCV helps to alleviate dementia in rodents by triggering an antioxidant effect after binding to CB2 receptors. This prevented neurons from becoming damaged, leading to improved motor skills among animals suffering from a condition akin to Parkinson’s disease.

Like THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids, THCV exerts therapeutic effects through interaction with chemical receptors in nearly every system of the body. The two primary chemical receptors are called CB1 and CB2, which make up what is known as the Endocannabinoid System (ECS). This system is involved in regulating a wide range of our body’s functions required for optimal health.

CB1 receptors are found throughout the body but are concentrated in the brain and nervous system, while CB2 receptors are more prevalent in the immune system. At low doses, THCV acts as an antagonist to CB1 receptors, which means it can block some of the actions caused by THC such as the munchies and intense mental highs.

At higher doses, however, THCV activates both the CB1 and CB2 receptors, and exhibits effects that more closely resemble THC. This results in the enhanced euphoric and cognitive effects along with therapeutic value.

Where To Find THCV

As previously mentioned, THCV tends not to occur in high concentrations in cannabis, although its impressive medical profile has generated an interest in high-THCV cultivars. As a result, it’s becoming slightly easier to come across strains that have been specifically bred to express this fascinating cannabinoid.

Where Can I Buy Delta 8 THC In Liberty, Missouri?

Where to buy Delta-8 In Liberty Missouri

Delta-8 THC is legal in Kansas, however its attorney general considers the use, possession, and sale of delta-8 products “unlawful,” even if derived from legal hemp. However, a state attorney’s opinion isn’t legally binding and therefore doesn’t make delta-8 officially restricted or prohibited.

Delta-8 products are still sold and distributed all across Missouri, although Liberty is cracking down on laws, forcing stores to take their products off the shelf.

Kansas Delta-8 THC Law

  • The use, possession, sale, distribution, purchase, and production of delta-8 is legal in Kansas. However, Kansas’ state attorney general believes it’s an illegal controlled substance.
  • You can legally purchase delta-8 products online and through unlicensed CBD dispensaries across the state.
  • Other THC isomers such as delta-10, THC-O, and HHC are legal.
  • Medical and recreational marijuana is strictly illegal. Some patients can use low-THC CBD oils to treat severe and debilitating illnesses.
  • CBD is legal in Kansas but must not carry any quantity of THC.

Is Delta-8 THC legal in Kansas?

Delta-8 THC is currently legal in Kansas under state law. You can use, possess, sell, distribute, promote and produce delta-8 products without fear of penalty or prosecution.

However, on December 2nd, 2021, Kansas State Attorney General Schmidt released a controversial opinion stating delta-8 is illegal unless it’s sourced from legal hemp and carries no more than 0.3% THC.

Kansas District Attorney press release announcement about delta-8 THC legality

The term “tetrahydrocannabinols” is interesting here. It doesn’t mean just delta-9; it means delta-9 and all its variants, including delta-8, delta-10, THC-O, and HHC.

In other words, if this opinion turns into law, essentially all delta-8 products become illegal in Kansas since they carry above 0.3% delta-8.

You can read an excerpt from Schmidt’s opinion below:

Delta-8 tetrahydrocannabinol (Delta-8 THC) comes within the definition of a Schedule I controlled substance and is unlawful to possess or sell in Kansas unless it is made from industrial hemp and is contained in a lawful hemp product having no more than 0.3% total tetrahydrocannabinols (THC). Unlawful hemp products include cigarettes, cigars, teas, and substances for use in vaping devices. Delta-8 THC derived from any source other than industrial hemp is a Schedule I controlled substance and unlawful to possess or sell in Kansas. Other federal and state laws and regulations place additional limits on the legality of products containing THC and other cannabinoids.

Kansas State Attorney General Schmidt

According to a recent Twitter post from Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe, written notices are now being sent to businesses stating they must remove delta-8 products from their stores by March 20, 2022. Failure to comply can lead to criminal penalties.

Legislative history of Delta-8 in Kansas

Kansas legalized all hemp compounds (including delta-8 but excluding delta-9) in May 2018, following Senate Bill 282. However, no hemp product could carry any quantity of delta-9, differing from the federal Farm Bill allowing up to 0.3%.

Since then, Kansas has allowed the use, possession, sale, purchase, and production of delta-8 products, offering residents a chance to experience a high without consuming illegal marijuana-derived products.

However, there’s now a question mark over delta-8’s legality, and we’re unsure of how long the state will permit their use going further into 2022.

Delta-8 THC is the new cannabinoid on the hemp market that has gotten the whole industry excited, thanks to its fascinating properties that are quite distinctive from CBD and other compounds that are present in hemp. Delta 8, short for delta-8 tetrahydrocannabinol, is similar to delta 9 THC, as it is only one isomer off of Delta 9. As demonstrated by the name “Delta 8”.

Users describe Delta 8 to be psychoactive like Delta9, but no major side effects that you would normally get for regular THC. However, people state Delta 8 effects and benefits such as feeling of happiness, uplifted, relaxation, and calming experiences. As Delta 8 is more of a “body high” than a mental high.

Delta 8 is a naturally occurring compound that makes up about 0.1% of hemp’s chemical composition. Only recently, however, have we been able to isolate and concentrate it to create potent delta 8 products such as vape cartridges, gummies, tinctures, dabs and more that you can buy in store and online at stores like GLA Delta 8.

If you are a resident of Liberty, you might be wondering where you can get your hands on this new addition to the hemp market. You may not even be sure as to whether or not delta 8 is legal, which is completely understandable due to how dramatically hemp laws have been changing on a state level in recent years.

Places You Should Avoid Purchasing Delta-8 From

Gas Stations and Convenience Stores

We know that these locations are convenient, but it is unlikely that they’re selling high-quality delta 8. The bottom line is that these types of stores are not screening for quality and are unlikely to care about lab reports. They are looking to sell hemp goods cheaply and quickly, and don’t have the level of expertise needed to spot a fake delta 8 product.

Non-Licensed Businesses

You should definitely avoid buying delta 8 from an unlicensed business. Companies that sell hemp goods must be registered with the state, and so companies that are not registered should be avoided at all costs. Don’t buy delta 8 from strangers online, in social media outlets or in obscure areas that do not provide product lab reports.

Types of Delta 8 Products

Now, we can discuss the most popular types of delta 8 products available to Kansas residents. These products allow you to experience the cannabinoid in different ways, and it is important to know what’s out there to build a fully personalized routine, as well as understand different Delta 8 dosages for each unique product type.

  • Delta 8 THC Vape Cartridges: Delta 8 vape carts are disposable cartridges pre-filled with a formula containing delta-8 distillate paired with terpene strain flavors. They are used with a rechargeable vape pen device and offer fast-acting effects. Delta 8 THC vape carts are anywhere from 500mg in some cases to 1000mg in most, however some vape cartridges have higher amounts, it’s not seen very often. There are 70% Delta 8 vapes, with 700mg in each, while the vapes we carry like our DV8 carts have 92% distillate which is 920mg of Delta 8 in each. Vaping is by far the most popular Delta 8 method. Take 1-3 puffs for a good dose and you’re off to a good start.
  • Delta 8 THC Disposable Vapes: Delta 8 disposable vape pens are another option for vaping, being very user-friendly and fully disposable. Included is a pre-charged battery that lasts for as long as it takes to vape all of the delta 8 distillate in the attached cartridge. They come in a number of popular strains and milligram strengths like vape carts with two different types of disposables. There are regular half gram disposables, and full gram delta 8 rechargeable disposables that allow you to recharge the vape.
  • Delta 8 THC Tinctures: Delta 8 tinctures come in convenient dropper bottles for easy dosing and are for sublingual administration, as they are held below the tongue to absorb through the sublingual tissue. Available in a generous array of milligram strengths and flavors. Delta 8 tinctures strength ranges from 500mg to 5000mg of Delta 8 in each! That is a lot of delta 8.
  • Delta 8 THC Gummies & Edibles: Delta 8 edibles offer effects for up to 10 hours due to the nature of digestion, and come in various flavors, with gummy candies being the most popular option on the market. They come in a wide range of milligram strengths as well and are easy to dose. However, be careful because Delta 8 gummies take 1-2 hours to kick in, and they do hit hard. Delta 8 THC usually have 10mg, 25mg, or 50mg per gummy. Some Delta 8 gummies are sprayed, while others are infused. We suggest buying infused gummies like the
  • Delta 8 THC Dabs: Delta 8 dabs are wax concentrates with high delta 8 THC potency levels, which may not be suitable for beginners. They are smoked o vaporized and come in various forms. Delta 8 THC dabs usually have 1000mg of Delta 8 in each as a 1 gram container.
  • Delta 8 THC CBD Flower: Delta 8 flower takes the raw hemp flower buds and spray them with a pure delta 8 concentrate. Flower comes in a huge variety of strains, and you can either smoke or vape the flower. Loose buds and pre-rolls are available on the market. Many users describe Delta 8 flower as a similar experience to marijuana, however the benefits of both CBD and Delta 8 are heightened.

Why Should I Buy Delta 8 Online?

Now that you’re aware of the various forms in which you can purchase your delta 8, let’s discuss the best places from which you can buy delta 8 products online

Fresher Inventory

Delta 8 loses its potency as it sits on a shelf, which is why freshness is important. Online retailers have a higher product turnover rate due to wider customer bases, thus increasing the likelihood of getting a fresh product. Buying online means the product you are getting is likely a higher quality product, with newer batches usually being more potent and just overall a better product experience.

Larger Delta-8 THC Variety

Ultimately, buying delta 8 online lets you in on a wider selection of products, while physical stores tend to only have a small number of products on their shelves, as they do not specialize solely in hemp goods.

Better Delta 8 THC Discounts and Special Offers

Online retailers usually offer special promotions throughout the year to lure in new customers, and to help inventory move faster. Therefore, buying online can give you access to some really great deals.

Better Prices on Delta-8

Delta 8 that is sold online is typically more affordably priced, because online retailers aren’t stuck with the very high overhead costs that come with operating a physical business location. As well, buying bulk allows Delta 8 online shops in Kansas to give much cheaper prices to their customers. Product value is better when you buy online.

Higher Standards of Delta-8 Brands

Online retailers tend to have wider and usually larger customer bases who demand only the best-quality products, while demand in your area may be low, with less informed customers. This is why products sold online tend to be higher in quality overall.

Purchasing Delta 8 In Bulk Quantities

If you want to buy in bulk and bundle Delta 8, it’s easier to find deals online. This is because online retailers hold more inventory, sell products faster, and have lower expenses overall. Delta 8 online stores usually offer discounts for buying in high volume. Such as our Delta 8 vape bundles that come in a variety of sizes for discounts.

If You’re Willing To Travel A Short Distance

We’re not a huge warehouse like some online companies, we have an actual home store for our local customers! Come meet our crew and get the SAME discounts, and an even bigger variety of Delta-8 products in store, we love meeting our loyal customers.
We’re located in Blue Springs, Missouri. Not too far off from Liberty for some quality delta 8, is it?

Is Kratom Legal In Florida?

Are you a kratom user who just moved to the sunshine state and wondering if kratom is legal in Florida? Or maybe you have heard about kratom from a friend and want to give it a try.

The legality of kratom in Florida is more complex than other states. It is legal everywhere in the state except Sarasota county.

Sarasota County’s Kratom Ban

Sarasota County passed a county ordinance in January of 2014 that made Kratom illegal to buy, sell, use, or possess. They made the decision to classify it as a “designer drug” with the likes of spice and bath salts.

It became a misdemeanor to possess kratom, carrying a punishment of up to 60 days in jail and/or up-to a $500 fine.

Right around the time of this ruling, a petition was created on by the Botanical Legal Defense that netted 609 signatures.

The petition claimed it was unfair to lump Kratom in with synthetic drugs like spice and bath salts because it is a natural plant used for thousands of years.

The Fight to Ban Kratom in Florida

Some state legislators want to see Sarasota county’s kratom ban enacted throughout Florida. In January of 2017, two separate bills were introduced to the state legislature – one each in the house and senate.

Both bills argued that the properties of the alkaloids within kratom mimicked scheduled controlled substances regulated by the DEA.

By May of 2017, both bills were killed after an investigation by a subcommittee did not discover enough evidence to proceed.

The latest effort to ban kratom in Florida was in St. Johns County in April of 2019. That proposed legislation was struck down after 19 people spoke in defense of kratom.

There are no active initiatives to ban kratom as of April of 2020.  Kratom users in Florida should pay attention to their state and local legislative bodies.

Where to Buy Kratom in Florida

The most popular place to buy kratom in Florida is your local head shop. While this might be the most convenient option, it’s not the safest.

Head shops don’t have a local source since kratom can’t be grown in the US. They buy kratom wholesale from an online vendor and add their own branding.

Most head shops only care about profit, so they go with the cheapest option. This puts the consumer at risk of purchasing low-quality products that haven’t been tested for impurities

We sell many different kratom strains by kilogram or by kilo. Kratom is legal in Florida so long as you don’t live in Sarasota County, so browse our shop and see if there is a strain you want to try.

If you have questions about the legality of kratom in Florida, drop them in the comments below. Note that we cannot give you any legal advice, but we can direct you to those who can.

Check out our blog to see what other states kratom is legal in.

The Ultimate Guide For White-veined Kratom

The Ultimate guide for White vein Kratom

At GLAKratom, our first precedence is  to provide you with an excellent Kratom experience that you’ll cherish for a long time to come. What could be better than starting your day with an elevating energy boost? Today, we will talk about one popular Kratom strain, which is famous for its amazing alkaloid composition and benefits. Whether it’s about the origin or its effects and quality, we are going to share everything that you need to know about it.

This blog will be for our White Vein Kratom blends, we hope it’ll give you every important detail about this famous Kratom variant. On that note, let’s get started!

White Vein Kratom: What Is It?

Whether it’s a Red-vein, Green-vein or White-vein Kratom, all of them derive from the Kratom or Mitragyna Speciosa plants. Mainly, two factors decide the differences between these strains: environmental conditions and time of harvest. Each of these strains can be further divided into multiple sub-variants based on the geographic location of their origin plants and other things.

As for the collection time, White-veined Kratom leaves are harvested from young Mitragyna Speciosa. That means, we need to pick the leaves at the earliest stage of the plant’s life cycle, before they fully begin to mature. At this point, the leaves contain the highest concentration of Mitragynine. It is one of the primary alkaloids present in Kratom leaves and majorly contributes towards their key benefits.

Key Benefits of White Vein Kratom

After the Red-vein Kratom strain, White-vein Kratom is the most robust Kratom variant, followed by Green-vein Kratom. Each of the strains have different alkaloid compositions, which result in noticeable variances in their effects offered.

Due to the high presence of Mitragynine alkaloids, White-vein Kratom is likely to offer more mood-enhancing and comes with the most energy boosting benefits. Many Kratom lovers also point out that it can also be very calming and comforting at higher doses. However, one must understand that the effects experienced differ from one person to another, depending on the sub-strains and quantities.

Different White Vein Kratom Strains

As already mentioned above, White Vein Kratom can be classified into numerous sub-variants. They are primarily named after the name of the origin area. Now, let us quickly give you a consolidated snapshot of the popular sub-strains.

White Maeng Da Kratom is one major household name for those who love Kratom. After Bali Kratom, Maeng Da Kratom is the most popular variant we have. It is regarded as an Umbrella strain that comes from Jonkong, Bunut, and Kalimantan regions of Indonesia. White Vein Maeng Da Kratom is popular for its soothing effects.

White Maeng Da appears to be one of the more ideal White-vein Kratom blends. Moreover, it is the strongest of all Kratom strains belonging to the White-vein category.

White Thai Kratom. The strain comes from the dense tropical jungles of Thailand. Because of the unique soil composition, fertility, and weather conditions, the Thai Kratom leaves have an exclusive biochemical structure. It is super-versatile and enjoyable. Undoubtedly, it is one of the most popular Kratom strains in today’s Kratom industry.

The other White Vein Kratom strains popular in the market are as follows.

GLAKratom White Vein Kratom Conclusion

At GLAKratom, we constantly work hard to bring you premium-grade Kratom products no matter what Kratom preferences you have, so we do our best to carry a variety of products in capsules and powder form.

As you can see, the white veins are considered the best strain for the morning time, along with your daily routine it can even cut out that cup of coffee.

Delta-8 THC and Why Is It Becoming Popular?

As cannabis reform continues to be accepted, so has cannabis knowledge. The condition of cannabis in 2020 has resulted in tons of consumers becoming familiar with various cannabinoids and chemicals that grow on cannabis. They know about THC, CBD, maybe even some of the rare ones like CBC, CBG and THCV. Some may even know the proper name of THC, the compound that gets us “high” is delta-9 THC. However, very few know that delta-9 is not the only known type of THC, and it’s also not the only type with the desired psychoactive effects.

Look at edibles for instance, they get people high, right? Just like smoking cannabis does, but it’s not exactly like it, right? While a high when you smoke and an edible high do feel somewhat similar, they are notably different in their own ways. Edible highs usually show more heavy, body effects, and more intense cerebral stimulation. What’s the reason for the difference? The reason is that you’re not getting high on the same exact compound.

Eating edibles produces a completely different form of THC than smoked cannabis, known as 11hydroxy-THC, this happens due to decarboxylation. But the list of THC variations doesn’t just stop there! A new cannabinoid has been emerging in the cannabis world with its own unique and interesting effects; it’s known as delta-8 THC. We’ve researched a few articles, and the products themselves to bring you an informational blog about Delta-8, check it out!

What is Delta-8 THC?

The language and science of cannabinoids is fairly new to the CBD and Cannabis market. As a result, the terms relating to these compounds are still evolving every month. Cannabinoids have been reduced to general initialisms to make them easier to discuss. This made cannabidiol become CBD, and tetrahydrocannabinol become THC. While convenient, this shortening also comes with an issue of simplification. As mentioned, most consumers do not know that different arrangements of THC actually exist, and this is due to that simplification of the word.

The “8” in delta-8 stands for the placement of a chemical bond, one step over from where it sits in delta-9. Its structurally similar, allowing it to have close to the same effects. However, there are slight key differences.

Delta-8 can be smoked in cartridges similar to standard cartridges bought for Delta-9 or CBD. You can also put Delta-8 into gummies to make edibles or use the extract on hemp buds to provide high amounts of CBD & Delta-8 THC

Cannabis and hemp plants grow very small amounts of delta-8 THC, making it far more rare than delta-9. However, it can be derived from either type of cannabis plant using special breeding, extraction, and processing methods.

According to a Pew Research Center 2019 study, two-thirds of Americans favor cannabis legalization. With only 12 legal states, while many more are accompanying them over time, it’s clear that many people are curious about the benefits of cannabinoids, yet have little to no access to a wider range of cannabinoids.

The Effects of Delta-8 THC

Alright, so a different THC cannabinoid really exists, does it actually matter? While delta-8 and delta-9 THC may share similarities, they have some noted differences. Unlike CBD, which is heralded for its lack of psychoactive effects, that is not the case for delta-8 THC.

Delta-8 offers much more mild effects than delta-9, but more intense effects than CBD.

Delta-8 can be psychoactive for some consumers, just less so than delta-9. A good way to think about it generally is something like a “light buzz” or “diet weed”. Many of the effects and benefits of delta-9, though toned down a few steps, are still present in Delta-8. It still contains euphoric qualities, and helps to stimulate appetite. It can energize or relax the consumer depending on the larger terpene and cannabinoid profile, similar to delta-9. And yes, it induces some of the typical heady, psychoactive experiences people tend to look for in delta-9.

The main difference is that while delta-8 can do all of these things, it does them at a less intense level. Even for experienced cannabis users with a high tolerance, there is a noticeable effect, albeit a lesser one. However, the trade-off here is that the potential negative side effects of cannabis are also reduced. Delta-8 tends to not give off any anxiety or sense of being “too high” that delta-9 may impart on the user.

Much like CBD and delta-9 THC, delta-8 bring relaxation, focus, and uplifting feelings that consumers expect, along with reports of pain reduction and decreased nausea.

These effects have yet to be studied at length, but user-experience shows promising signs. The compound is even known to the National Cancer Institute, which notes that it has, “antiemetic, anxiolytic, appetite-stimulating, analgesic, and neuroprotective qualities.” We here at GLAKratom like to describe delta-8 THC as “sort of a middle ground between CBD hemp, and Delta-9 THC.” That seems to be as perfect a description as we’ve encountered with our customers and through our experiences.

Reasons to Try Delta-8 THC

Delta-8’s unique properties lend themselves to a variety of uses and situations. For the cannabis-curious, it can act as a bridge to acclimating to other cannabinoids. Especially in today’s market, many young cannabis consumers find delta-9 can sometimes be too intense to enjoy. This is especially true in the case of edibles or dabs, but depending on the customer can be for vapes and flower as well.

Delta-8 might be ideal for when a cannabinoid lift is desired, but the full potency of delta-9 is too much for the occasion.

While many people use cannabis to help with social anxiety, delta-9 effects tend to be too effective/strong or hard to focus under certain circumstances. When clarity is higher on the priority list, a regular cannabis consumer might reach for delta-8 above delta-9.

Also, as mentioned, delta-8 is available to consumers who might not otherwise be able to try delta-9 THC. While some states may have individual restrictions, Delta-8 cannabinoids are completely hemp-derived and thus fall under the legislation of the 2018 Farm Bill. In accordance with the bill’s guidelines, delta-8 preparations contain less than .3% delta-9 THC.

Legality of Hemp-Derived THC Compounds

The differences in name and how it is sourced may feel very minimal, but they change how delta-8 is handled legally. In the United States, the hemp derivation and lack of delta-9 THC ideally put delta-8 preparations into the same class as CBD products.

Currently, there is some debate underway about proposed guidelines that would alter the definition of permitted hemp preparations if the precursor ingredients have higher THC levels than allowable. Currently, this matter does not appear to affect delta-8 preparations.

Unlike delta-9 THC, delta-8 itself currently has no federal scheduling. However, it is possible to fail a drug test from the use of delta-8, as those tests do not test for specific types of THC, but rather THC metabolites. THC metabolites are the result of the body processing any form of THC. We recommend to not purchase or consume Delta-8 THC products if you’re going to be getting drug tested.

Green Maeng Da Kratom – One Of The Originals

Green Maeng Da Kratom - GLAKratom

Maeng Da Kratom is one of the most famous strains internationally. However, it’s important to realize the differences between a green, red, or white strain overall.

In case any reader is looking for a Kratom option from our store, this review of one of our high quality Kratom strains can help you decide!

Importance of selecting a specific strain

Whenever someone uses Kratom, it can produce variable effects. The same dosage and product doesn’t give the exact same effects on everyone.

Not every person has the same level of absorbing the alkaloids to immediately show benefits.

For example, any strain of Kratom will have the different effect on a newbie and a regular user of Kratom referencing their tolerance.

For this, there is an actual need for selecting the right strain.

Another important aspect is what the user may be looking to get. There are various Kratom strains, each one of which has different benefits to offer.

A beginning user should have something in his mind before taking up the option to use Kratom.

The requirement of each person is different, so the Kratom strain must match that need. Same is the case with Bali and Maeng Da. Both strains are useful but for varied reasons.

Why is Green Maeng Da Kratom so popular?

Maeng Da is a native strain of Malaysia and Thailand. It has bright green leaves which are having considerable amounts of Mitragynine and 7-Hydroxymitragynine, Speciogynine, Speciociliatine, and Paynantheine which makes it a strong stimulant. This concentration of powerful alkaloids is different from the other strains.

Green Maeng Da Vein Kratom

Green Veined Kratom can best be described as somewhere in between red and white kratom strains. It’s a middle of the road energy booster, but also a decent pain killer and sedative as it builds.

People who experiment with green kratom powder report that it helps enhance their alertness, focus, and cognitive functions to stay in the groove for longer. Green vein strains are generally more subtle than the red or white veins. In general, they can be useful in treatment of pain and other discomforts, precisely because the green veins do not lead to drowsiness as quickly, which is often caused by other analgesic supplements and red strains.

Green kratom powders can be mixed with red or white kratom strains to create more rounded effects, ones that cater to you. When properly mixed it prevents the excessive anesthesia of the red veins and the overstimulation of the white veins, bringing a balanced blend.

Due to the green vein kratom being more balanced, it’s often used to help social anxiety. You’ll generally have more confidence, be more social, and not feel so stressed about others opinions. Therefore, green strains of kratom are popular during recreational activities such as a night out in town, especially in placement of alcohol. Green vein kratom makes you more talkative, friendly and cheerful. You will be more inclined to immerse yourself among people and social situations.

If you’re looking for the best of both worlds, you’re in the right place for the Green Maeng Da kratom powder.

Most people who think White Maeng Da is too far on the energy spectrum and Red Maeng Da is too far towards the sedative spectrum turn to a Green Maeng Da. This blend takes two extremely popular strains to make a perfect balance of effects. Energy to keep you going from the white, pain killing effects and feelings of happiness with the red.

Maeng da’s can be of the green, red, or white variety. They all tend to act as a stimulate, help boost energy and increase feelings of well being, while also reducing pain. While White Maeng Da tends to give you more energy and motivation, Red Maeng Da is what people turn to for top pain killing effects.

Our Green Maeng Da Kratom Effects:

  • Stimulation
  • Cognitive booster
  • Anxiety reliever
  • Mild pain relief
  • Mild energy booster
  • Enhancing focus

What’s the differences between Kratom veins? Red for Bed, White for Light, Green for Inbetween.

What types of kratom are their?

Kratom types are generally divided into three different colors. Red, White or Green-vein kratom powders. This separation is dependent on the color of the stem and the vein of the leaf. If you look closely at kratom leaves, you’ll find that the stem and vein have a certain tint of color. This color determines the effects the kratom leaf will have on a users body and mind. A different color means a different effect and a different chemical composition. The veins and stem are removed during the grinding process, to create a smooth and fine powder substance.

The different kratom strains thrive at their best in different conditions and contain various alkaloids which each produce their own desired effects. The way we like to put it is, “Red is for bed, white for light, green for inbetween.”

Red Vein Kratom

Red Vein Kratom leaves have red colored stem and veins. Red kratom is certainly the best selling and most widely available strain of kratom on the market. The red vein kratom plant grows abundantly in Southeast Asia and is slightly more resistant than other Mitragyna Speciosa trees. Some studies have claimed that the substances that give rise to the red color of the veins also ensure that the plant is less susceptible to external predators.

Red vein kratom powder from a trusted vendor is great for beginners since red kratom strains tend to be relaxing and give off the most euphoria. It tends to give the user feelings of well-being and optimism, while also providing a peace of mind. Red Kratom powder tends to be the best for a sleep aid and pain relief, helping with insomnia, along with aches and pains that might keep you up throughout the night. It relaxes the muscles and some people use it to replace pharmaceutical painkillers. Red Kratom is also the most used for helping prevent opiate withdrawal symptoms.

Within the red veins, there are few differences in the effects and properties. Some strains such as the Red Sumatra and Red Bali have a strong sedative effect while others like the Red Dragon can produce an elated mood and provide energy at low doses.

Some popular blends in this category include: Red BaliRed SumatraRed Maeng Da, and Red Dragon

White Vein Kratom

White vein kratom powders are known to be a stimulant and increase the users mood. Outside of the product lacking in product (usually if a company lets it sit on the shelf too long), the effects of each strain tends to depend on the user, which can vary in reason from their lifestyle and tolerance. The general consesus from our research and customers reviews however, gives us enough information to say white vein kratom is used to increase energy and motivation, which is a reason why our customers tend to replace their coffee in the morning with these types of kratom powder.

For people who’re having a rough day, or just need a quick pick-me-up, this is the strain for you. We recommend avoiding this type of strain when it starts getting late in the day, to avoid having issues going to sleep.

Some popular kratom brands in this category include: White DragonWhite Maeng DaTrainwreck (not a full white, but also great for energy).

Red, white or green kratom?

Which kind of kratom is most appropriate for you depends on your personal preferences and the situation you’re in. With kratom this can end up being quite complicated because the effects can vary within the same strain color. It depends on quality, location, climate, harvesting method etc. Not all red veins will have the same results between every person, this applies to the white and green veins as well.

This is why we recommend using a trusted vendor for kratom, one that can confirm the strain is what they say and the quality is there. Along with one that rotates product effectively, making sure to never have old and unused kratom powders.

The characteristics described in this article can best be considered as general guidelines for each kratom strain and color, everyone can react differently, this is just the overall consensus we’ve collected through our research into kratom and our customer testimonials. A great way to determine which kratom strain is best for you is to order a kratom sample pack. This ensures you get a nice variety, while saving some money and giving you a chance to figure out your favorite kratom strains!

What Exactly is THCP?

What is THCP - GLAKratom

By now, you’re probably familiar with delta 9 THC — the primary psychoactive ingredient in marijuana.

You may also be aware of delta 8 and delta 10 THC — two slightly different molecules with similar psychoactive effects.

There are, in fact, dozens of different types of THC. Some are much stronger than others.

In this article, we’re going to cover the strongest member of the THC class — THCP — a cannabinoid with more than 30 times the potency of conventional delta 9 THC from marijuana.

THCP stands for tetrahydrocannabiphorol. It was discovered as recently as 2019, so there hasn’t been much (if any) official research on its effects quite yet. The only research we do have has been exploring its safety and potency using animal and in vitro cell cultures.

Here’s what we know so far.

THCP exists naturally in cannabis plants — albeit in very low concentrations. It can be extracted and isolated from hemp and marijuana using chromatography techniques.

This cannabinoid appears to bind to the CB1 receptors 33 times more often than delta 9 THC. Activation of the CB1 endocannabinoid receptors is what gives THC and THCP their psychoactive effects.

Is THCP Natural?

Yes! THCP is one of the 140 phytocannabinoids found in cannabis.

However, natural levels of THCP are well below 0.1 percent. Some plants, such as the Italian-bred FM2 strain, contain almost 0.1% THCP.

For comparison, THC can be found in concentrations of 25%-30% in marijuana and around 0.3% or less in hemp.

CBD is usually present in concentrations between 20% and 30% in hemp and around 15% in marijuana.

How Is THCP Made?

Because of the extremely low concentration of THCP in cannabis, researchers need to recreate THCP artificially in order to study it further.

The first paper reporting THCP extraction from a cannabis plant wasn’t published until 2019 and was later adapted to develop the manufacturing process that’s used today.

CBD is used as the starting material to make THCP — which means it can be effectively derived from hemp.

How Cannabis Plants Make THCP

Virtually all cannabinoids in cannabis and hemp plants, including THC, CBD, and THCP, begin their life as cannabigerolic acid (CBGA).

Without turning this article into a chemistry lecture, suffice it to say that CBGA undergoes an enzymatic reaction with other acidic compounds in cannabis to create a precursor molecule for THCP called tetrahydrocannabiphorolic acid (THCPA).

THCPA is then slowly converted to THCP by the cannabis or hemp plant through a process called decarboxylation.

Delta 9 THC is the only cannabinoid scheduled by the Convention on Psychotropic Substances, meaning that THCP is internationally legal. THCP’s legality is slightly different In the United States, where it is legal as long as it is derived from hemp plants and not marijuana plants.

However, it’s not always that clear-cut — especially when it comes to cannabis. Each state has the ability to form its own laws regarding cannabis, so while THCP may technically be legal on a federal level, it could be subject to independent state laws.

Currently, THCP is not mentioned on any state bill but is illegal in states that ban all forms of THC.

States where THCP is illegal:

  • Alaska
  • Arizona
  • Arkansas
  • Colorado
  • Delaware
  • Hawaii
  • Idaho
  • Illinois
  • Iowa
  • Kentucky
  • Louisiana
  • Maryland
  • Massachusetts
  • Michigan
  • Mississippi
  • Montana
  • Nevada
  • New York
  • North Carolina
  • North Dakota
  • Oregon
  • Rhode Island
  • Utah
  • Vermont
  • Washington

As marijuana legalization continues at the state level in the United States, rules and regulations are subject to change.

The 2018 Farm Bill is the relevant legislation to consult for information about the federal legalization of cannabis and cannabis-derived products.

You’ll have to check with your state’s legislature for more detailed information at the state level, as each state has its own laws regulating THC as well as analogs like THCP.

THCP VS. THC: What’s The Difference?

THC and THCP share nearly identical chemical structures with one crucial difference: the length of their alkyl side chain.

THC’s chain is a five-carbon atom chain, while THCP’s has seven carbon atoms.

Besides being an interesting piece of trivia, this structural difference makes THCP significantly more biologically active. THCP’s longer side-chain gives it 30 times higher bonding activity at cannabinoid type one (CB1) receptors, making it potentially 30 times more potent than THC.

What Are The Effects Of THCP?

Many THCP users describe the effects as a more pronounced version of THC. It’s stronger (almost psychedelic), so you need a smaller dose to experience the same general effects as THC.

Current research about the effects of THCP is scarce, but people who have tried THCP report that its effects are virtually indistinguishable from THC’s effects.

The original 2019 paper reporting the first detection of THCP in a cannabis plant claims that the physiological effects include pain relief and suggests that THCP might share many medicinal effects with THC.

Even though THCP and THC may share many benefits, there is one key difference.

THCP is 30 times more biologically active than THC and, therefore, also has proportionally stronger effects. This means the dose of THCP and THC are going to be very different.

As such, it is important to tread lightly, especially if you’ve ever experienced adverse side effects from THC use, like anxiety, memory loss, or paranoia.

How Does THCP Work?

THCP works by interacting with your body’s endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid primarily has two kinds of receptors: cannabinoid receptor type one (CB1) and cannabinoid type 2 (CB2) receptors. CB1 and CB2 receptors behave differently and create different effects.

CB1 receptors are located in the nervous system and are responsible for the psychoactive properties of THC and THCP.

Like THC, THCP is a strong CB1 agonist, meaning it binds with the receptor and causes an effect. Since THC and THCP have the same CB1 behavior, their pharmacological effects are similar.

How Do You Take THCP?

Right now, there are relatively few THCP products available, but you can expect this to change in the near future.

THCP can be used the same way as any other cannabinoid. It can be vaped, smoked, eaten, taken sublingually, or even applied to the skin.

Most companies that are selling this cannabinoid right now sell it in the form of a replaceable vape cart.

Does THCP Get You High?

Yes. THCP is highly psychoactive.

THCP seems to have an almost identical effect profile to THC, according to many people who have reported trying THCP.

While there is little scientific evidence supporting THCP’s medical benefits or psychoactive capabilities, anecdotal reports are unequivocal: THCP produces a similar psychotropic experience to THC.

How Does THCP Compare To Other Cannabinoids?

THCP is much, much stronger than delta 8 THC (roughly 60 times as strong).

The effects of these cannabinoids are very different as well. THCP can be quite stimulating. This, combined with its exceptional potency, makes THCP very likely to result in anxious side effects, insomnia, and rapid heart rate.

Delta 8 is the total opposite — it’s has a milder and far more relaxing and mellow feeling. Delta 8 THC is unlikely to make users feel anxious or negatively affect sleep.

There is theoretically a delta 8 version of THCP too — but so far, there’s no information on how it compared to delta 9 THCP. The process for determining the potency of THCP products isn’t refined enough to tell the difference between the delta 8 and delta 9 isomers either.

THCP VS. Delta-9 THC

THCP and delta 9 THC have essentially the same effects. The only difference is the potency levels.

The normal dose of delta 9 THC is around 10 mg. The equivalent dose of THCP is closer to 0.3 mg (300 micrograms). You don’t even need a full milligram of THCP for potent effects.

Because of how strong THCP is, it’s much more likely to lead to side effects than conventional THC products.

THCP VS. Delta-10 THC

Delta 10 THC is generally used during the day as a sort of nootropic. It’s more stimulating than delta 8 THC and delta 9 THC without affecting headspace too much.

Compared to THCP, delta 10 THC is much milder and has far less impact on headspace. THCP will really alter your mental capacity to do stuff like work or study — while delta 10 THC (in low to moderate doses) is often used to enhance it.

THCO is another exceptionally potent cannabinoid (roughly three times as potent as delta 9 THC and nearly six times as potent as delta 8 THC).

The main differences between THCP and THCO involve the origin (THCP is naturally occurring, THCO is fully synthetic), the onset time (THCP kicks in right away, THCO has a delay), and the potency (THCP is around 10 times stronger than THCO).

HHC (hexahydrocannabinol) is another new cannabinoid to enter the market. This one is much more similar to delta 9 THC than THCP. HHC shares virtually identical effects as delta 9 THC and is only slightly weaker.

You may just need an extra puff or two on an HHC vape to get the same intensity of effects as delta 9 THC.

Key Takeaways: What Is THCP?

THCP is a cannabinoid of the future — sitting on the cutting edge of cannabinoid science.

The cliff notes version is that THCP is a stronger, legal version of delta 9 THC.

THCP products are difficult to find thanks to the difficult manufacturing process, but the lucky few who have gotten their hands on some report that it feels like taking THC (just beware of the dose).
